They filed my H1B and are about to start my green card. The H1B took forever. I wish my company allowed me to do the H1B myself. I can do a better job without a lawyer instead of paying Fragomen $5000 for rubbish.
Once, they kept sending out emails per my H1B application and copied my company using a wrong email address. This stalled my start date as my company never got these emails and I kept calling them. I thought my company was ignoring me but it was Fragomen that kept using the wrong email address.
I wonder if my company would allow me use a personal lawyer for the GC process.

The updates are provided periodically on forums from IV core. We are currently working on the House side for pushing SKIL forward. There are a few things missing in SKIL bill that we would like to get introduced. Mainly its the 3-year extensions of EAD and AP and 3- year ext of H1 for labor applicants that is missing.
We are also trying to assess of SKIL in house is gonig to go forward, and in the event it doesnt, what other bills can be vehicles for putting our provisions like the S 1932 style.
We try not to restrict free voice and opinion from members on forums however, if it gets downright nasty we will edit posts and censor. But in principle we try to avoid it as much as possible.
If you have questions, and if you think that IV core is not up to the job and needs help or needs to pace up, or if you think you have questions for IV core, please pick up the phone and call the 281 number listed on the website's "Contact Us" and call us. We will answer ALL your questions as to what we are doing.
That would be much more productive way of finding answers to your questions.

IV Core has mentionned many times that we need to educate the public.
I believe one of the rally attendees was interviewd by NPR, and he was informed his story will be featured on NPR in the near future. NPR is listened to by people who are highly educated and rational. They will surely understand the plight of legal immigrants. While piece meal legislation is being introduced in Congress, we need to be as much visible as posible.
Outside of the immigrant community (mainly lawyers and legal immigrants), no one knows what legal immigrants are up against.
Dollars talk. If there is enough money for advertisements as many have suggested on this forum, people will start asking questions when they see or hear those ads. And when people ask questions, they will receive the information. Once they know about the hurdles we face, they might put some pressure on Congress to Act. Too late in the game. Lets just finish up what we've started. I believe in go green (I pledged not to buy another box of ziplocs) , but if 25000 sheets of paper will bring me my fixes, I don't mind planting 20 trees to make up for it.

Becoming aware of what is holding back is what I am trying to achieve. When you have such awareness, you also have the ability to change.
The proof of the pudding is in eating. I beleive we have stopped HLGs and others from stealing unused EB3 visas exclusively for one retrogressed category.

Even though it can be legislative fix can we still have an action item? well... I dont know!
I think it's still fine. The fact that this was brought up by the Secretary in the action directive says that this has got good traction up top. People aren't getting their green cards any sooner with this. I think this plays into a territory which is actually quite non-controversial even if it needs to be taken from a legislative perspective. Also they maybe thinking of something else too. Who knows. They've seen the data; they know that people from India/China EB2/EB3 and EB3 ROW are seeing a long wait in front of them right now.

The attorney i had was Jeffries expensive but good.
I have a BS in biology and computers (was on F1 visa)
Then I did research on cancer cells at the university while trying to get into Graduate school. Got my MS in information Science and also an MBA.
For MBA I did my research on Economic growth and Military spending.
After MS i got job h1b for a research facility was doing mba at the same time. Switched employer to work for a multi national corporation. Quite my job for multi national because they would not apply green card started work for a consulting body shop they apply for my green card.
Now Soon I will give my resignation.

We are USCIS's cash cows we'll have to give them milk until the last drop....It was a well thought provision as they knew they'll earn more money in yearly AP/EAD renewals then they were earning in H1B renewals. No one will be on our side other than ourselves. Why should others(US business, political, people) should be behind our goals. They do not have much to gain from it. Our voice will be heard, but will not be considered unless the so called others have some facts and figures. Those facts and figures should make them feel that their counrty would lose to competetors in near future. It will take time.
Get support from whom? The same corporations that want to outsource jobs to low cost countries AND also lobby for H1B increase, again to keep wages low and all this to increase their bottom line. We need to re think our strategy and get it straight as to who is on our side and who is not.

That said, from what I have been reading on talk radio shows, people are disappointed in general with the GOP - even with the pro amnesty position adopted by Pres. Bush, McCain, Specter, etc - and therefore want to give them a bad time. I don't think that was an endorsement for amnesty at all.

Remember that these numbers are first categorized and then assigned to applicants on a per country basis. In other words, a visa number if it is EB2, should be assigned to EB2 (no matter what) before it goes to EB3. If it is EB1 visa number and for it to become a EB2 visa number, there should not be any need for that number in EB1 category.

Few min back I just got the "Card production ordered" email - Took a total of 28 days
I feel that USCIS Workers/Contractors might be working all through this weekend to Approve as many EAD's as possible. I really wish they work the same way in approving AOS Applications.But Never... Punish the immigrants as much as possible, thats the Motto.
