Folks I sent email to this address as stated "uscis-complaint@dhs.gov", got bounced back saying it as a wrong email. Does nay one know the correct email to send USCIS complaints to?

Hello All,

NSC --> EB2 I Oct 2006 -->485 June 2007 filer --> LUD on mine 03/03/2009 --LUD and RFE on my wifes 03/04/2009 (RFE email from USCIS says: Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent not sure what it evidence they need, recently we have made name change amendment on EAD for my wife, I am assuming it should be related to that, will wait and see till we can hard copy of RFE)

I submitted the 485 without the VSC hoping that it will be ready by the time USCIS issue RFE on this. Do you know when we can expect the RFE after the submission?


Visa Screen is needed to adjust your status. It is always better to have your visa screen ready. USCIS will send an RFE for that. However, while AOS is pending, EAD can be issued.

Our issues are real and affect about a million people patiently waiting in line for past several years. We are high-skilled immigrants who have followed all the rules and contribute significantly to the innovation and economy of this county. Our strength is our grassroots efforts, so let us all call our lawmakers and ask them to take immediate action on the immigration bill.

Call your Legislators:

Immigration Voice is organizing a nationwide call-the-lawmakers drive. We request members to call each and every senator and congress member. This drive will precede the �Advocacy Day(s)� in Washington, DC and �Meet the lawmaker� drive in local districts. Members can use this phone call conversation with their local lawmaker offices to follow-up with lawmakers when they meet during the break just after the Memorial day.

Don�t miss this opportunity:

This is the perfect time to call the lawmakers. The bill needs a push via support from people like us and all lawmakers needs to be encouraged and urged to help us. There are indications that there will be lot of activity on immigration issues in both House and Senate after the Memorial day. We need to make those activities go in our favor and not die like the CIR bill in 2006 & 2007. Thus it is important to starting calling lawmakers, starting from the Senate members. In order to capitalize on this opportunity, it is very important that everyone calls every lawmaker of this country. The similar next opportunity will be in 2013. We can participate now or we will all have ourselves to blame.

This campaign starts today at 4:00 PM EST on 29th April, 2010) (Today) and will run until the end of next week. All IV members are encouraged to make multiple phone calls whenever they find some time during the day.

- Supportive: Then thank the lawmaker office for it.

- If they oppose it: Then request them to support the high skilled green card provisions of the bill that will greatly help you. You sincerely hope that the lawmaker will reconsider his/her position and help you.

Answer "For last 10 years there has been no High-skilled immigration bill passed by the Congress. The world has changed in last 10 years. But I cannot do that if I don't have a green card.

I would sincerely request you to please convey to the Senator if he would consider supporting some version of the immigration

Dude if you do not like something, why don't you start your own aggressive organization. You do not do squat on IV and only whined.

It is always an option for any one with in their org, but if his point is wrong, then IV core leadership should prove him that they are not sitting idle or moving very very slow.

Every one starting their own organization or asking to do so doesn't solve the purpose.

Not sure but I guess the IV team is just picking names from when people post confirmation of the contribution, and quite likely inadvertently missed your name....

...not for argument either but I won't worry too much who is or is not on the list...I will just be content with contributing...who cares if I am on the list or not! :)

I see that most of the people who initially responded to my first post about the southern california state chapters have some recent activity i.e. they have visited this website in the last 2 days after my last posting requesting you to e-mail me about your availability for a conference call today. Not one of you has responded to my request to e-mail me.

I just want to make you all aware that IV core members can do a limited amount of work. They are definitely not superhumans although we expect them to be as such. If we fail in our efforts to secure any retrogression relief we will have only ourselves to blame in such a situation. Besides this is a very ripe time to be active and talk to politicians here in Southern California region. I would like to reschedule the conference call for the coming week/weekend depending on your availability.

In the end our best intentions and best wishes are not going to get us the immigration relief we want. We also cannot blame IV core team if we do not start working and lending them a hand. The choice is clearly ours. I hope that all of us will be more forthcoming and open to spending some time on IV work in the future.

It's hard to believe that folks dont know anything about the Green-Card process when they come in. Let us say that you are right on, but they would have eventually figured it out by the end of couple years. I believe it is the situations like layoffs, move from one company to other for better prospects and salary will make them to enter the process late. It is their personal choice and I don't question that. But I believe they had options to apply for GC early in the process and they did not. So why penalize others who did before them. Please don't think Iam saying this because I entered late. I came during early 1998 and I did wait for 4 years to apply.

It is not about being lethargic, it is about company policies and options available to employees.Many times the Labour applications are delayed by the companies on the pretext of impending layoffs or on the fact that there was no written offer on processing GC at the time of employment offer.IN many cases this happens inspite of verbal assurances at the time of employement offer. Sometimes these verbal assurances keeps going on for years but the process never gets truly started. Many comapnies prefer I would say to start the process late so that they can hold on to the employee for longer period of time... Several reasons contribute to the LC being filed late. If and when LC is filed use of H1 B Start date of employment as priority date should put and end to these practices.

750,000 applications ? Does that mean the PD will be 01 Jan 1900 after October ? I think you grossly overestimated the number of applications . If the GC quota is 9800 for India then to process 750,00 applications ( most of them will be India I am sure ) will take like 20 years . Thats impossible man !!!

I agree 100% too. Just feel so helpless.

After reading all your comments, I reached to a conclusion

We all are being fooled and frusturated by USCIS.

Now the question is, what are we going to do about it, keep complaining and whinning about it, or do something constructive.

Well I believe when we are all so knowledgabel about USCIS efficiency, what do we do next?


Well lets give out a big shout to something big, get some media attention and put pressure on USCIS. Unless we still choose to visit IV to express our frusturations and then logg of this webiste and continue to our daily cores.



Lets just wake up for one more time, and do something big, phone calls, faxes does not give us a public exposure, what we need now is public exposure, I have have been saying this for a while but no one seems to give an important consideration. Right now media attantion is in DC, and we can use that in our own advantage.

Looks like they are changing the spillover rules again from Horizontal to Vertical this is bad news for EB2 I

Because the spillover projection is given only for EB2(China and India). This is due to fact that only EB2-Row is current due to which there is a possbility of spillover which flows to China and India and not to EB3-Row(if it was vertical).
